Welcome to the Dance Academy Message Board. These forums are designed for the use of Dance Academy clubbers, regulars, guests and any other like minded individuals. Although we welcome free speech and open discussion, in the interests of the club, message board and it’s members there are a few rules which must be adhered to when using the forums. We reserve the right to remove / edit posts which do not adhere to these rules or to ban any users who persistently break them.
The rules are detailed below:
Advertising
Advertising in any context on this board (with the exception of items for sale in the Classified forum) is not allowed without express permission from board administrators. We put time and effort into the running and maintenance of this board and feel it should not be used as a free advertising tool for parties other than ourselves. If you would like to advertise a product or event please e-mail admin@danceacademy.co.uk or send one of our board administrators a private message.
Use & Promotion Of Illegal Substances
The Dance Academy does not accept or condone the use of illegal substances on or off the premises and ensures every effort is taken to enforce this rule. Any material relating to the sale, promotion or glorification of such substances will be removed and, if necessary, reported.
Message Relevance
The message board is split into forums for your convenience. This helps categorise threads and makes for easier reading, please keep your posts relevant to the topic. If you have a general post about clubbing, music or the club in general then post in General Discussion. If you have a new mix available for listening, let people know by posting in DJ Corner. Threads that are not in their relevent forum will be moved by moderators to the appropriate section of the board.
Further to the above, any FAO messages will be deleted. The message board has a Private Message function for sending messages to one particular person.
Duplication of Topics
If two threads are opened on the same topic, please note that one may be deleted for ease of reading. This is particularly relevant with Roll Calls for example, two roll calls for one night is a pointless exercise and therefore one will be deleted.
Personal Attack
Any posts of a derogatory, insulting or abusive nature towards any particular person will be removed if necessary. As a public message board all messages should be suitable for public viewing and therefore any personal issues should be raised elsewhere. Anyone who feels that they are being personally attacked on the board can contact an administrator via private message or e-mail admin@danceacademy.co.uk.
Spamming
This is a grey area and one difficult to police, as message boards are often an outlet for random conversation which is welcomed here. Spam will be defined herein as a message of complete irrelvance to its topic making the reading of a thread difficult. Any excessive Spam messages or threads will be removed as necessary.
Please adhere to these rules to help promote the efficient running of the message board for the benefit of all its members. Don't take it personally if you're post / topic is removed or modified, if you have any queries as to any ammendments by moderators or administrators please e-mail admin@danceacademy.co.uk or send a private message to an administrator.
